Blue Lotus Winery, Texas, United States

4.5 (8 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Hye Wine Bars

Comfortable and inviting with excellent wine and mead

A small group of us had been to 4 wineries in the area, and ended up here as Mead has really become a passion, especially if you ever attend one of the numerous Renaissance Festivals in the area. What a wonderful experience! There were young children playing out back while adults tried different wines and meads, relaxing in chairs. The building is cool and comfortable, even on a very warm day, and the Meads were enjoyed by all. This will likely be the spot we return to next time we are in the area, especially to pick up some of the Mead, but also to try new ones in a tasting. It's a really lovely couple who own/operate Blue Lotus, and we look forward to seeing what they continue to produce.

    Must vist
Not only do they have great wine but they also have mead. If you have never tried mead you must stop by and give it a try. Very welcoming and cozy. The staff were amazing guiding us through not only the mead but the wine as well. Sample, visit, ask questions and enjoy. We loved it so much I bough a growler, several bottles of mead, a beautiful candle made in half a wine bottle and a mead membership. I have emailed several times with questions and the customer service is top notch. You will not be disappointed in your visit or experience.

    Loved the mead!
Stopped in twice! Just to refill the Blackberry mead! It's carbonated and such a great drink! We stopped at sonic, grabbed a bag of ice, came home threw it in a blender with a coop of vanilla ice cream and BOOM! It was so dang good. The gentleman working Dan (called him Dan the Man!) was super friendly. Glad we found this hidden little gem. It's nice to drink something different when you've been drinking wine all over Fredericksburg.
