    Nice diversion from the highway
The museum had lots of open space, is well thought out and designed. I especially enjoyed the section on the history of the creamery. The ice cream parlor had an old fashioned look to it with lots of room to spread out. At only $1 per scoop, you can try lots of flavors. My personal favorite was the Sea Salt Caramel. Next time I'm in this area, I'I'm hoping the tours are offered again. Note: there wasn't any oversized vehicle parking. The day I visited was not crowded and they didn't mind that I took 4 parking spaces in front of the building. There's another parking lot behind the museum building (on the north side, I think) that might have more space.

    Nice place to visit.
Some of the things that we had hoped to be able to do such as the tours have been discontinued but the museum offers a nostalgic walk through the history of Blue Bell ice cream and the creameries. Lots of interesting photos on the walls and memorabilia to see. Some videos to give you some history about the company. There's also an ice cream parlor to try many flavors of their ice cream. Several that are available at the ice cream parlor. There's also a gift store to get some clothing, mugs, bowls, etc at reasonable prices. All of the team members were very friendly with the staff being mainly young women in the parlor. You won't spend more than an hour here, but you will have the chance to try different flavors for only $1/scoop It's a generous scoop too!
