Got directions from them, because the ranch is not marked from the road. In fact, other than seeing horses out there, there was no indication that we were in the right place. It wasn't until we talked to one of the two workers that were there that day that we knew we were at the destination. If we hadn't prepaid we probably would've left. The two workers were friendly and cautious. Understandably, since we were dealing with horses and small children. We spent a long time going over how to behave around horses. The horses themselves were well behaved, and the kids road alone, but were led by the workers. So we walked down the field and down a country road a ways and went back. Anyone who has never ridden, the time riding would've been enough. Anyone who has ever been on a horse before would think it was a really quick ride. The kids had a good time, and the workers tried to accommodate us as best they can.

    Unprofessional, Untrained horses, Money Hungry
1 star only because 0 was not an option. These people are socially awkward and are not animal people. To say they have poor social skills is putting it lightly. They speak to each other in a very derrogatory/rude tone in front of customers which is very unprofessional. How you treat your employees (even if it is your family) says a lot about your business ("WHY are the horses not saddled?!" "JUST A MINUTE!" etc etc) We mostly dealt with Marcus other than giving our payment to Skye the owner-which seemed to be all she was interested in. Marcus rambled forever about off the wall things, including bashing previous customers, then tried to tell us he was going to match our personality to the horse we should ride based on our handshake and knowing us for all of five seconds. They provide no helmets, we did not sign a liability waiver-which they really need since the horse I was on THREW ME OFF. Luckily I landed on my butt which only resulted in soreness for a week following, it could have been alot worse. Upon telling Marcus this he proceeded to berate me in front of other customers about what I was doing wrong! Instead of profusely apologizing-which is the ONLY appropriate response to a horse throwing a customer on a trail ride-he tried to talk over me defensively for 10 minutes at which point I just walked away after seeing there was no point. The fact that they are so defensive makes me assume they have problems on a regular basis. A trail riding horse that is offered to the public should be a bomb proof horse, not one that throws a rider that is asking it to go a little faster than a crawl. This review would have still been okay if not for the way I was treated AFTER being thrown-I didn't blame the horse for throwing me. After that, the horse was spooky and while I tried to remount he wasn't having it. The trail guide (who was not part of the family and was the only decent/normal person there) had me try the horse she was originally on and even THAT horse would not stay out of the trees, constantly wanting to stop and eat which all the horses did and then they would get ugly when you tried to pull them out of the bushes. At that point I felt unsafe and just got off and walked to rest of the way back. Marcus says there's no way to make them not do that which is total bogus. My husband and I have been on numerous trail ride and the reality is these people are not training the horses properly. There were young children being placed on these same horse immediately after our experience. I prayed for their safety. I was so shaken up I left without speaking to the owner, the trail guide said she would discuss it with her. I expected a phone call from the owner regarding this and I definitely expected a refund to be offered at the time of the ride-it has now been over a week-just long enough for the pain from where I hit the ground to dissolve. I imagine upon the posting of this review I will all of a sudden receive some communication but at this point unless you're offering a full refund-there is no point.
