Bass Performance Hall is the crown jewel of a city which boasts the nation's third largest cultural district. It is also an important symbol of one of the most successful downtown revitalization efforts in the country. Built entirely with private funds, Bass Performance Hall is permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and Cliburn Concerts. Each resident company operates independently from Performing Arts Fort Worth and manages its own programming schedule at Bass Hall.

Lighten Up!
We went to the Ft. Worth Symphony last night. The auditorium was perfect, the service and drink bar were flawless. The Strauss and the Tchaikovsky pieces were inspired. The modern piece, while executed well by the orchestra, was simply dark and depressing. We don’t pay to hear dark and depressing. We are not masochists. Do not do this again. I don’t care if you are married to the conductor. Get outside, see nature, lighten up.

LOVE Bass Hall. An excuse to get dressed up (or not), with kids (or not) and see anything from ballet, concerts and symphony to hit musicals like Mamma Mia and Riverdance, to Queen tribute bands. Beautifully laid out, Various ticket prices so you can find affordable seats if you keep an eye out, and use the app. Worth spending the night, have dinner somewhere in Sundance Square or drinks/desserts and catch a show. You can valet park,or park at a couple of the local office parking lots scattered within a block or two from Bass Hall. Enjoy.
