Free Museum and Free Desert Garden
If you are just driving through Big Bend Ranch State Park, you do not need to pay the park fee. That part was confusing. However, if you plan to stop, hike, etc, you do need to pay the fee. The visitor center has a free very lengthy educational museum. They also have a nice free desert garden. Don't be confused - it is not the courtyard one. It was an OK stop.

Great Jumping off Spot for Mountain Biking
Easy to access with large parking spaces. TPD staff were awesome. The multi-use trails were great.
