Amon Carter Museum of American Art Keeps Ft. Worth Ahead
My wife and I just visited the Amon Carter Museum. We went for the special exhibit on photography. While there, I also visited my favorite area - the collection of Remington and Russel paintings and sculptures of the American West. This museum was founded for the Western Art pieces, and it is excellent. Other exhibits that populate the museum are usually well presented, but the Western Art is the tops. We often return for the special exhibits because the collections are almost always top-notch. If you need to choose what to do in Ft. Worth, The Amon Carter and the Sid Richardson are the two museums I always recommend.

Good collection and entrance was free that day
We loved the Cultural District of Fort Worth and would recommend it in conjunction with all the usual Western and historic activities. This museum had a good mix of art genres and was within walking distance of the Kimball so no moving the car after parking. Good for teens up.
