    Beautiful History
Our first stop on our first trip to Columbus. Visitor center has great material about the towns sites and history. Stunning decor. I hate that I can't remember the lady's name working there at gave a billion percent of her time. She was so nice and helpful. She gave us directions to places in town to see. She told us about the courthouse and its dome. We got to the candy shop because of her. She wanted to make sure we knew of places to eat. She told us history about the Opera House and the Museum. Absolutely a treasure she is just like the building. Lots of photo ops.

    Beautiful building
This building was built in 1886 by R. E. Stafford a millionaire cattleman, stately interior (which seated 1000) had gas burning chandeliers and an elaborate hand-painted curtain. It was nice to hear the history of this building.
