Fun & we’ll return!
We had a great time during our first experience here. The staff was very friendly! I read reviews prior to going slamming the staff but found claims of them being rude to be untrue. I’m guessing those writing the poor reviews of the staff either were in the wrong or had something to hide with a chip on their shoulder. I appreciate that they ask if you have alcohol before entering the trails because it makes it safer for everyone. I recommend they start checking coolers because I did see a man out there drinking and driving as well as some cans thrown out onto the trail. It’s very pretty & we can’t wait to return to see the views when it isn’t foggy. The general store has snacks and souvenirs with some sundry items. I do wish restrooms consisted of more than two portable potties for someone like myself who doesn’t answer nature’s call in the woods like my boyfriend. It’s an affordable day as well & around $60 for a couple.

Pure Fun!
We came with 3 couples and 3 side X sides from Missouri with the whole purpose of riding trails for 3 days. We stayed at an Airbnb about 6 miles from the park. Applied for permits easily ahead of time online. Trailer parking is ample at the park. Trail head is easy to find. The trails have something for everyone and the scenery is amazing. We plotted our trip daily with points of interest along the way. Our last night we rode up to the Top of Wind Rock to check out the beautiful sky. Totally worth it!

Cozy, clean, and RoCkY!!
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was so nice and relaxing. The cabin was nice, although the bed was a little iffy. Don't expect luxury, it's bare minimum, but nice. It would be nice to have more seating options in the living room. But, we had everything we needed and the cabin was nice and clean. As for the trails, be prepared for ROCKY! The views and sightings are amazing but the trails will beat you to death! My only complaint would be that after the upwards cost of the cabin, I would think the trail pass would be free and at least provide free maps. Our options were a $7 paper map or $9 app. This is the first place we have visited that charges for maps. All and all it was a great trip and we got to see a bald eagle and about 6 elk. Carryville flats and the windmills were beautiful! You will never see more beautiful views of the mountains!
