A military museum worth checking out! Don’t miss this one!

Excellent military museum with well-presented information. Not overwhelming with too much reading. Great well-maintained artifacts. The air conditioning chilled like no other museum. Super clean bathroom. Kids can climb in a real helicopter in the museum.

    Interesting Place to Visit
I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. For a small military museum, it is amazing. It is relatively small, but is packed with things to see. It is there to honor veterans from Wilson County who served in all branches of the US military. It contains mannequins dressed as a few selected soldiers would look, as well as other mannequins dressed as soldiers from the period who were in those conflicts would look. It contains information on every conflict the US has been in dating back to the Revolution and actual artifacts and reproductions to see. There is a huey helicopter you can climb into as well as a WWII vintage Jeep. There is a lot to see packed into a small space. Don't miss the outside plaza. There is some amazing artwork etched into black marble or polished granite slabs which are stunning and represent all 5 branches of the US Military Branch. Each marble slabs contain names of servicemen and women who served in those branches. There is also a monument dedicated to those who gave their lives defending this country. Very appropriate recognition for our military heroes, and there is no cost to visit the museum.
