Peaceful Area

Great place to go and enjoy the water, playground, and picnic. We went to enjoy an afternoon on our kayaks. The water was calm and smooth so it was an easy kayaking trip. It was not crowded with only a few others on the beach. We saw one boat while there. This is part of Cordell Hull Lake and the Cumberland River system. Lots of fish were jumping out of the water and we saw several birds. We had a picnic lunch at the picnic tables, some were covered and some were not and cooled off with a swim in the lake. We paid a small fee per car to enter the area, but the day we went there was not an attendant at the booth. There is also restrooms and a boat ramp.
