The UT Gardens function as an outdoor laboratory to evaluate the performance and landscape use of every type of plant, from trees and shrubs to annuals and perennials. The gardens feature a children's garden, formal rose garden, a sustainable kitchen garden, perennial borders, a beautiful hosta collection as well as annual beds, huge old growth trees and seasonal displays.

Beautiful flowers and welcoming paths!
The blooming flowers were lovely! So much time taken to make it so desirable to walk around and enjoy. I gave it a four stars because it is not accessible in the entire garden for walkers or wheelchairs. Plus all the restrooms were closed. If you don't park in a UT Garden visitor space, your vehicle will be ticketed and towed. So you have to be aware of where you are and if UT is in session for the new semester, you will have a tough time getting a parking space. The road sign to the gardens was missing the day we were there. Nonetheless, it is has some beautiful flowers, welcoming places to sit and on a cool day...the best. Enjoy!

UT Gardens is very lovely.
Wonderful place to visit. Well maintained plants, even though it is October. The butterfly garden was my favorite as there were hundreds of monarch butterflies feeding and around me as I walked on the path. Lovely setting. Excellent.
