Amazing Experience with the best tour guide
The caverns were beautiful! Our tour guide was Steve. He has worked there since he was 16 in the 60's. It definitely made our tour even better with Steve because he told us alot of interesting stories about the cave and how they discovered hidden areas. I couldn't help but to ask questions just to hear his stories. We were definitely blessed and lucky to be paired with Steve. You could tell he loves the caves as well with how he told stories and explained different parts of the cave. We decided at the beginning of the tour after hearing Steve talk about the flooding and how we had plenty of time to get out if it occurred on our tour..... "If Steve is running....we better start running too!" We highly recommend anyone tour the caves! On e of the major highlights of our trip from Northeast Indiana!

Stalactites & Stalagmites and Lots of Fun
This cavern is a very interesting tour. Our tour guide (her name was either Abby or Aggie) was phenomenal. She was totally in charge the whole time and was able to project her voice over the entire group even we were a little spread out. She made the trek down/up the stairs and pathways a fun time, telling us when to duck for the lower ceilings and catching a crawdad to show the group (the kids loved it). She took us on the trail pointing out different formations and shadows that looked like a bear and other animals and lots of stalactites and stalagmites. The Big Room was just that!! HUGE. The lights are turned out and it is so black you can't see your hand in front of you...but only for a few seconds. Then we were taken to the waterfall area and that was cool too. All in all, it's worth the time and effort to see this magnificent part of nature. It takes about 1 1/2 -2 hours and there is NO bathroom. Not handicap accessible. The stairs can be challenging for some. I think there are over 150 round trip. But still worth it. They have a very nice gift shop too.
