Driving Range with Sports Bar Atmosphere
TopGolf is basically a driving range with a bar/pub food service attached. There are several types of games to play from aiming at targets/flags to playing simulated golf courses. Can be a very fun outing with friends or just by yourself if you just want to hit balls. The bays are covered so doesn't matter if it is raining plus they have fans and heaters that can help offset temperature extremes. They have shot tracer tech which is interesting to see how far, how fast, and how much curve your shots have. Few pointers: If you swing left-handed, better to bring your own set of clubs. They will provide left-handed clubs but you don't have a full set so you could be left trying to make punch shots/quarter swings with a 7 iron. The simulated golf courses are okay. Is nice to see how your ball travels on a links course like St. Andrews and it being a totally different kind of golf. There is no putting, you chip to a target instead. Big disappointment, you could hit your approach shot to 10 feet but have a 50 yard pitch shot that could give you a bogey score. If you have an oversized driver head, you can pretty much forget about using it. You hit off an artificial mat with short rubber tees. It is possible to stick a tall wooden tee into the rubber tee but after hitting, your tee will go flying in various directions and even into the next bay (which is really close).

Four!!!! …Minutes left exactly, now get out!!!
I have been to this location maybe 4 times. So I’ve already dropped about $450 at this place. Twice I had the same horrible server, Sydney. The food came out cold, she pushed to start a tab when I didnt even order any alcohol, She was no where to be found except for 15 minutes before the time expired to start pushing me out, and pushing a to go box on me for the remainder of the cold $13 wings. At exactly the one hour mark, she comes back and says, look, my manager is getting on to me because you’re still sitting here, and we have to get the booth ready for the next person. It was literally 60 minutes exactly. And there were 6 other open bays just to the right of mine. What a joke. Thanks Sydney for the Trashy subpar service. If you like driving ranges, great. But be prepared, you may have to deal with a “Puttz” or two while you’re there. So Rude.
