Peaceful and breathtaking

This is an absolute MUST DO when in the area! Get away from the busy tourist traps and take one of these peaceful hikes with the sweetest llamas you can ever imagine! Chocolate Mousse and Carrot Top are our new best friends! Sandy is an animal lover through and through and you can tell she just adores the llamas. We can’t wait to come back in the fall to see the incredible fall colors and take another hike!

    LLAMA-ZING EXPERIENCE -- Must Do!!
If you want a unique and LLAMA-zing experience on your vacation or day off and don't want to do the typical "toursy" items then this is for you! Sandy is an awesome tour guide who takes you along with the most full of personality llamas you have ever met on 2-hour treks (depending on the trek you choose) and gives you an experience to talk about for days to come. My daughter and I were have a mother-daughter vacay and wanted to do something out of the ordinary when I stumbled on The Wandering Llamas website. Now, it didn't hurt that I have a thing for llamas but after a couple email exchanges, I was booked and hooked. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the llamas...especially Pharoah...were just the best. I'm smiling right now just thinking about it! And Sandy, she is just wonderful and you can tell the llamas are not just tools of the trade but her actual family (touches my heart). We will definitely be back!!

    Best.Day.Ever
I brought my Girl Scout troop to hike with Sandy and her awesome llamas today. It was a beautiful day! We all had such a wonderful time. The llamas are so sweet and docile. We loved walking them and giving them treats. It really was such a memorable trip.

    AMAZING DAY!
When my dad said he wanted to celebrate his 75th birthday walking llamas, I had no idea what he was talking about! But he was so keen on it, we all said ok! It was one of the most fun things we have done as a family! Sandy (the owner) was engaging and informative, and the llamas are so sweet and well behaved! The scenery of the walk and beautiful stream/woods/setting can't be beat! We loved this so much and had a fantastic time! I highly recommend for families looking to reconnect, be with nature and be around some pretty cool animals with a lot of personality! A truly memorable day!

    Love, love, love
Hiking with llamas was so much fun! The llamas we're super sweet, as was our guide Sandy! Our yoga part got cancelled and Sandy worked with us to ensure we still got to have an adventure with Llamas! I highly recommend trying this out and enjoying time with sweet, sweet animals!...and no, they don't spit. Moose was my best pal! Sandy was wonderful too! Not only did she give us an amazing time she also recommended other great places to visit while in town.

    A must do!
My husband and I stayed in the treehouse overnight followed by trekking the next day. The treehouse is so adorable and the llamas are gentle and sweet. The trek was perfect, we did the hobbit creek trail option. Sandy the owner was great. We plan to go back again. Highly recommend!

    Great experience!
My 7 year-old grandson and I had SUCH a great time on our llama trek. Sandy was helpful setting up the trip and was a good guide on the trip. We had a great time and will be talking about this trip for a long time to come.

    Perfect Day
If you love llamas this is an experience you must have! We were blessed with a gorgeous day to lead our llamas on the short hike. It is about 2 hours and covers beautiful scenery and a couple stream crossings. There is nothing better than getting to interact with these sweet guys. Multiple photo opportunities, she will take photos too and share them with you if you don't want to bring your own camera. Sandy is easy to talk to and it's fun to hear her stories and learn more about the llamas. My sister and I took my mother and we all loved it, it was the highlight of our trip for sure. I'm thinking about making the 9 hour drive and bringing more family with me. It's that much fun!
