Stillhouse Hollow Falls, Tennessee, United States

4.5 (14 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Mount Pleasant Waterfalls

Quick hike to quite falls

The hike is .7 miles to the bottom of the falls. This is where you will get the best view. Not much wind, a little bit of mosquitoes, but not too bad. This is a great hike for kids, couples, groups, really anyone. Enjoy!

    Delightful little Nature Hike
If you need a nature fix, but don''t want to travel for hours...this is the place to go. Only 30 minutes south of Columbia, TN! Park your car and set off on the well-defined trail...it's an invigorating hike down the trail to the waterfalls, which are beautiful and clean. We went on a Wednesday and had the place almost to ourselves. The water cascaded down several giant ledges, and landed in a serene pool...not very deep the day we were there, but looked like it could rock and roll if the area had received lots of rain. Dogs must be on leash, which is a good thing. After loafing around the falls, we took the loop and headed back to the parking area. Not a difficult climb, but steep enough to increase your heart rate a bit. I wouldn't recommend the trail for small children, as it is a little dicey around the falls. There are no restrooms, no lights, no snacks or Starbucks here. Perfect!

    Falls visit
The falls are very nice & are isolated in pristine woods. The trail is difficult for someone with any walking problems. Lots of ups & downs, numerous roots and rocks to traverse over. I am 72 and in good shape, so no problem with terrain or distance. Signage and distance marking was not real great. Worthwhile visit if you like natural beauty.
