Definitely recommend trail ride with Jesse, petting zoo also great!
We husband, 9 year old daughter and 14 year old son did the horseback ride and the petting zoo. We started with the horseback ride and all of the staff were very laid back and friendly. I cannot say enough about our guide, Jesse. We have done many trail rides before and my daughter still gets nervous. He took his time to explain everything, told us about each horse’s personality and made sure to keep checking on the riders frequently during the ride and giving lots of reminders about what we needed to do. He was so great with my daughter and with all of the riders. Definitely the best guide we have ever had, and the price for the ride is extremely reasonable. The petting zoo was also a lot of fun, there were a variety of animals that you don’t usually see at petting zoos and they seemed well taken care of. The employee at the desk when we bought our tickets was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining what animals you could feed and what required special food and what the safety precautions were. We will definitely be back anytime we are in the area!

    Gorgeous ride, fun petting farm!
We did a 45 minute horse ride with a 2 and 5 year old. My five year old rode by herself up by the guide and I wore the two year old in a front carrier. The trails were beautiful in May…the trees would sometimes break to allow views of the mountains. Our guide, John was great at explaining what we needed to do to “steer,” go faster, slower or stop the horse as we had never rode before. The horses knew what to do…we didn’t need to do much. We also visited the petting farm and the kids had a great time feeding the animals. It had been raining so we didn’t go in with the goats because we didn’t want to get muddy, but a lot of people were. Highlight of our trip.
