    Honor
It was lovely to walk the cemetery. The last time I was here it was closed. What a place of honor. Burial for all branches of service and all wars. It is amazing to walk through and they have benches to sit and contemplate. It was restorative for me. Squirrels gathering their acorns. It is a beautiful place.

    Cemetery gives you some perspective
When you drive through the park it's easy to imagine the battle that took place here. The park staff has done a great job of staging cannons and other items to help you visualize the battle. When you visit the cemetery you don't have to use any imagination because the consequences of battle are revealed in the many tombstones. It is still somehow a very peaceful place to visit and there are great views of the Tennessee river on the North side of the cemetery.
