Small battlefield in Jackson, TN
This was a neat little stop (there are actually three stops for this battle as noted on the billboard in the information center if you so choose to do them). There is limited parking, some memorials, a few old graves, and some replica cannon. And the information center provides some good information about what happened. This is no Gettysburg, so keep your expectations low. Still a nice stop for the Civil War buff.

Eerie...
Neat little skirmish battlefield not far from Jackson.... Small and isolated... Cool little stop... There is a sign signifying the events that took place...

A disappointing Civil war experience
Knowing that I was in an area that saw some Civil War battles, I searched out the Salem Cemetery battlefield. They took a couple of replica cannons, a couple of small monuments, and stuck them near a small cemetery. There were several graves marked as "unknown" which was not something you see everyday. But I still left, not really knowing what happened there. So I was a little disappointed.
