Respectful Tribute to the Civil War

My husband & I were on our way to tour the distillery. As soon as we came into Trimble, on the hill, what a presence the monument & flag has!!! We were instantly drawn & had to stop. The wind was blowing, so it was a little chilly for me. I took as many pictures as I could & I had to get back in the car. It was worth the stop. They accept donations & offer a CD - “ The Truth Concerning the Confederate Flag. “ We haven’t listened to it as of yet. Off behind the memorial is a cemetery where a lot of soldiers are buried.

    Awesome Confederate History & Memorial
While traveling I get to look out the window on the passenger side and it can get pretty darned boring for me. Yesterday I caught a glimpse of a tall towering flag and as we got closer I saw that it was a Confederate flag. It was absolutely magnificent to behold! I begged my hubby to stop so I could see why it was flying. There is a cemetery and a monument here. I was truly impressed with the historical monument that was built specifically to honor the Confederate soldiers who fought and died for their cause. I must say I have never seen a Confederate flag flying so majestically and probably will probably never see it again in my lifetime. I hope that with all the state and federal government's movement to ban/outlaw much of our United States' history - rewrite it, and even stop teaching it. God bless those remembered and those that are left behind. Oddly, I thought of our own flag while standing there. "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

    Display of Confederate Heritage
Parks Cemetery Ridge Confederate Memorial Plaza is the best exhibit of any Confederate Memorial that I have seen in this country. It has a large Confederate flag 20' x 30', as well as flags from all 13 states that fought for the Confederacy. If you are in west Tennessee and are a Confederate history buff, you need to stop by and see it.
