Ocoee Zipz, Tennessee, United States

Great Fun

We went this morning and had a blast! One person in our group had never gone before, and was a little nervous. But our guides(Chris and Ansel)belied their youthful appearance and were very knowledgeable, safety conscious, and great fun. The course is well laid out, and progresses nicely until the big race at the end. I would recommend this to any and everyone.

    Had a blast
The guide, Chris, was great. From the experienced - to those less than enthusiastic about the adventure - to a little boy (who's courage grew with each jump), he kept anyone motivated and entertained. He was mindful of those who wanted a less dramatic tour and gave encouragement to those who wanted to be daredevils (if only for a few moments). Since this was my first zipline tour I cannot compare it to others in the vicinity; however, I can say this tour has given me great conversation pieces and the desire to zipline again the first chance I get.

    A life-changing experience...
My 10 yr old son and I have watched Ocoee Zipz being built and have talked about it for a couple of months. He is not always the bravest boy on the planet, but said he wanted to try it. Today was the day! They had 4 out of the 7 lines up and running today, so we stopped to check it out. He was almost in tears on the first tower and wanted to go back down the stairs. The guides worked hard to reassure him and were able to talk him into going tandem with a guide. He did it! He was still a little unsure when it was time to do the 2nd one, but he ended up doing that one and the 3rd one alone! The last one is 60 feet high and 1,000 feet long which even had me a bit shaky. By that time, he didn't even flinch! My boy jumped off a 60 foot tower by himself and zipped 1,000 feet with a huge "WooHoo!" all the way! The very best part of our day...when we got home, he said, "Mom, that was life-changing...now I know there's nothing I can't do." Wow. Mommy cried a bit. I am so very proud of him. Needless to say, I absolutely LOVE this place! We are lucky enough to live close by. I'm hoping they do birthday parties!
