An amazing experience.

An amazing experience. We had zero experience with horses. Nevertheless the trained horses and our incredible instructor Josh made it an unforgettable two hours. He led us into the forest, we crossed streams and galloped in the fields. All that with zero experience. The kids were so happy. Highly recommend.

A breath of fresh country air
Excellent experience on the trails today celebrating my daughters 24th bday. The ride down Natchez Trace Parkway sets the tone for “a day in the country”. Darren’s place at Natchez Trace Stables delivers a phenomenal laid back country experience. Best mix of trails by far with meandering hills, creek crossing, capped off by a short meadow gallop. Beginners and intermediates will all enjoy. Been enjoying Natchez Stables for over 12 years. Nothing fancy - just an excellent escape from the urban jungle we live in. I need to make it more often. The best Tennessee has to offer.
We drove here from Nashville to make the most of the country side in Tennessee. I recommend following the directions on their website instead of google maps. I will never forget Josh, Silo, and Precious. I love to talk and so does Josh. Our trail lead boosted our confidence by assuring us of our safety, taught me about horse breeds, chatted about country music, and was a true southern gentleman. My horse Precious was from Tennessee and a lot more comfortable than the quarter horses I’m used to in California. The horses are also pasture raised so they are very sensitive and kept their spirit. There was no need to pull on their bit. It was just my friend and I on a ride for his birthday, so Josh brought his new baby, an all black German shepherd puppy, Silo, who is getting used to swimming. Josh took us through the river, the woods and open pasture. We were out there for two hours and I didn’t want it to end!
