Beautiful bridge
Really perfect place to take sunrise photos. There are plenty of places to park your car at the entrance of the bridge.

Yes, another review that says they ruined the bridge
We were so appalled when we returned from Minnesota to get a closer look at the bridge and found that they had installed a hideous chain link fence with barb wire on the top. An architectural wonder completely ruined by the rights or needs of a few people denying the enjoyment and vast expense of the majority. I’m sensitive to peoples mental health needs, but this will neither prevent suicide nor discourage it. The bridge also does not photograph well, because it has begun to become black like much of the concrete structures in the south. The fence is also visible from below when you attempt to photograph. I wouldn’t let this review lower your expectations of the bridge, but rather lower your opinion of the National Park Service which obviously has bowed to pressure to prevent suicide on the bridge. See the bridge, it’s an engineering marvel and ignore the clutter. It photographs best from the east side looking west from below.

Iconic Bridge
You need to see this before the sun sets or near sunset. The views are great from and looking at this iconic structure. We were able to see it this year since we arrived early enough. Two years ago we missed due to being too late and just after sunset.
