Must see (in season)...a working Sorghum Mill
What a great way to see a working sorghum mill. Sorghum is a super grain high in protein, rich in antioxidants and naturally gluten-free. This is a working mill and open selected dates in September and October during the annual Sorghum harvest. Mark and his family will be happy to show you the sorghum extracting and cooking process as well as show you around their mill. They produce a great product which is available year round at local markets and on their website. It is a must see when on the Cumberland plateau or in the Muddy Pond community during the season. FYI, you can also stop by in town and pick up a bottle if you are traveling outside harvest time. If you are fortunate enough to visit during production they have fresh baked Amish-Mennonite goodies available for sale.

Great Experience
One of our best day trips this year. People were very friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had. We learned first hand how sorghum is made and were able to watch the entire process. We bought several items to include sorghum at reasonable prices. We would highly recommend to others.

One and done
Disappointed not really much there. Sandwich’s at the Deli where good but limited ,service was good. I was expecting. More of a look at the culture
