Different Monuments
There are monuments for the different wars, but I was most surprised to see the almost even numbers of those who died during the War Between the States...all from Cumberland County. This really drives home the history we study...neighbors fighting neighbors...almost 200 from this county died during that war.

Small town history needs to be honored and remembered.
Nice to see that the town and county has honored and still remember their residential soldiers. No matter where you are from, you must remember that is small town USA and even if you don't agree with certain things, you need to respect these fallen. If it offends you, sorry keep going. I moved here because of the tight knit community and memories. Don't want to change a thing. Crossville / Cumberland strong !

Crossville HONORS their Military
This is just down the street from the Military Memorial Museum and is an on-the-road, visible reminder of the honor given those who served. This is beautiful little oasis saying "We are proud of you. We thank you for the blessings your service allows us to enjoy."
