Great park

We stopped in to look at the lake and made a day out of it. We went swimming and walked around the lake. The swimming area is very large and its sand. Water was so clean amd clear. Definitely will be heading back again. Would highly recommend if in the area

    Lots of boating Activity
    Melton Lake park is home to one of the premier rowing venues in the country. They recently added a lane so that they can hold Olympic qualifying events. International events are held there as well as teams from the south east coming to practice. They do have classes in rowing, but you would have to live locally, since these take place over weeks. The setting is pure Tennessee beauty. There are nice (level) walkways along the water as well as pavilions and picnic tables. At one end of the course is a Calhoons restaurant where you can look down the whole length of the course. There are also some boat rentals, but I have not done that there yet.

    Beautiful park
    We are staying in the area on vacation and really wanted to check the area out. What a beautiful place. Walking trail. Easy parking. Seems like a lovely area with lots to do.
