This park offers 20 miles of extensive hiking trails and over 12000 total acres of land. The wildlife in this area is abundant and very diverse. Nice Hilly Trails
Nice trails. I couldn’t follow the Bluff trail as I lost the marker when it got very thick. The Woodland trail is very hilly, but it is still very enjoyable. It was a little crowded on a Saturday morning, but during the week it was fairly empty and quiet. All together an enjoyable area.

Mini Vacation
If you live in a city, it can get rather hectic. We can’t just up and take off on a vacation anytime you want, at least most of us can’t. Meeman-Shelby Forest is someplace close enough that you can take a day trip and be surrounded by nature. You can take a moment to take a deep breath and enjoy the absence of all the city noise and hustle. A little gem of a place out there to eat is The Country Store or take a ride into Millington where you’ll find several great places to enjoy a good and even great meal. The drive to Millington from Shelby Forest to Millington is only a short drive, maybe ten or fifteen minutes, before heading back to the city.
