An historical Gold Mine

This is truly an excellent place for researching anything related to Maury County and even some surrounding counties. I have seen some books from a majority of the counties in TN within this archive (some counties more than others of course). There is a wealth of information here and if you have local ties to this county, this place is definitely a must-visit place. Bob Duncan runs this archive and he is a source of a wealth of information. There are some ladies (and volunteers from time to time) that might can help as well, especially with giving you ideas and where and how to start your research. Note: Printed copies do cost money per page. (I can't remember but somewhere in the ball park of either 10 cents - 25 cents per page but don't quote me on that).

    Great staff and always willing to help. Plan more trips there soon, Bob Duncan is a great historian and can usually answer your questions about almost everything,

    Maury County Treasure
    I traveled to Maury County specifically to visit the Maury County Archives and do some genealogy research. What a gold mine! While Maury County records and historical publications are the backbone of the collection, there's lots of info on neighboring counties as well. During my visit there, I was ably assisted by Michelle Duncan and Cindy Grimmett. They know the archives like the back of their hand. If you have ancestors in this part of Tennessee, put a visit to Maury County Archives on your to-do list. You won't be sorry.
