Fantastic tour!
My wife and I were interested in checking out the Lorretta Lynn Museum. We expected it to be small, boy were we supposed. Be sure to take a tour with the tour guide, and if you get Robin, your in for a real treat. She was quick to point out just about everything, and answered any question we could hurl at her. Although she denied being part of the family, we could see she knew it all. We toured (a replica) of the "Butcher Holler" that Loretta was born in. To a more modern house she moved into when moving here. (Think of her "Gone With the Wind" looking house, ) we saw her golden records, and many awards in the museum. I see you can camp there too. Don't miss this one. Ask for Robins tour!

Awe....mazing place to see
What an amazing home & property. Breathtaking! The plantation home is exactly like Loretta left it when she moved into the house she had built behind this one. What you see is exactly like it was when they lived there. Pictures on the walls, furniture, bedding , everything. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I learned some things that I never knew. The mill and falls are beautiful and you can just imagine Loretta sitting on her front porch listening to the falls and enjoying nature. The replica of her butcher holler homestead was great as well. Furniture that was originally used by them. My only disappointment was that the museum was closed due to they were doing a thorough Covid cleaning as well as rearranging things for the season. There is a huge barn where the museum is and I’m told it is packed full of great things to see. Sorry I didn’t get to see it. Was very disappointed , but I understand . Stupid covid is messing lots of things up. All in all, the place was excellent and it was a dream of mine getting to see where this lovely lady once called home. By the way, she home the day that we visited, I’m told that she used to come out and sometimes meet her fans, however because of her age and Covid they don’t advise her to do that anymore. Wished I could have met this wonderful lady, but again I totally understand. Love you Loretta. Stay safe
