First time Scuba to this Quarry

Wow!! What an adventure!!! Was expecting low visibility since there were torrential downpours the night before but visibility stayed at about 30 feet! That’s great for a Quarry on their best days! Owner was more than attentive and kept the grounds very organized which is a plus: every group had their own change table. And they have PADDLEFISH!!! Never seen them before so that was quite exotic!! Prices were great, service was wonderful, scenery spectacular! For a freshwater dive, how could you not rate them 5 stars!

    Great local dive spot
This is a great local place to dive (under 3 drive from ATL) and the owners are genuinely concerned that everybody have a good time and are comfortable. If you need a tank refill, he comes down every so often to gather them and brings them back to you. He is making improvements as he can so I expect this place will get a lot better over the years. There aren’t showers or a bathroom but he does have very clean port-a-potty for use. I noticed most of the people come out with cooler and grill to make it a full day trip. Just a good bunch of people hanging out, having fun and diving. Don’t forget to see the paddlefish while there!

Perfect place for younger divers to get certified
My daughters both did their checkout dives here. Alex runs the place and is great about refilling tanks and helping w/ gear issues. Picnic tables on both sides of the ramp for your gear. Take a popup-canopy in case your table is on the right-hand side as the sun does get hot. The water is clear (if you dont kick up the silt), and the paddlefish are huge! Watch out for the (fiberglass) shark! The water usually has 2 thermal layers so be ready when going into the second layer. Great local dive local
