What Amazing Artists
We visited Horsin' Around with our 10-year old granddaughter. Carvers come from all over the country to spend weeks or months carving and restoring (mostly carousel animals). The founder of the business, Bud Ellis, was there to show us around and was great with the kids. All the carvers took time to explain the process and what they were doing. We were honored to have Bud accompany us to the Carousel in Coolidge Park in Chattanooga to see (and ride) the finished product in action. Here's the link: http://www.horsin-around.net/

Fascinating for all ages!
What an awesome place. My mom and I visited and were charmed by all the animals and just could not believe what people were creating here. I was so enthralled, I signed up and did my own! Go visit! It is thrilling for any age.

Cool to see how it's really done!
This is a carving school but it's so laid back you wouldn't know it. They people working there are so willing to tell you about what they're working on, you'd think they were on vacation. They told us the history of the company and showed us piece they were working on. There were pieces laying around that had paper guides with them to show how to carve. It's a really unique place to visit.
