Adjacent to the beautiful and historic Hermitage home of President Andrew Jackson, the 43-acre Hermitage Memorial Gardens Cemetery opened in 1967 to serve the Hermitage, Old Hickory, Madison and Mount Juliet communities. The beautiful two-story Hermitage Funeral Home was built on the property in 1972 and was completely renovated in 2008, adding a new chapel and warmly decorated visitation parlors. They will take care of you
I recently purchased a prepaid funeral plan here (my wife already has one) and I was quoted a price which seemed like a nice package. I comparison shopped at another funeral home and Hermitage Memorial Gardens was able to match the price quote I received at the other place, plus add in a couple of perks to get the business. They have recently upgraded their facilities and are building a new space. I have many family members buried at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, and my final resting place will be here. I have lived in the Old Hickory-Hermitage area all my life and I am happy that my earthly remains will rest in the area where I always lived. I strongly recommend purchasing pre-need to get the best value for your funeral arrangements, and this service is not getting any cheaper. Comparison shopping which you can do pre-need and they offer excellent payment terms, which are not available on an at-need basis. It just makes sense to buy before need.
