Not a truthful location but beautiful
I love the trails, access, bluffs, trees, moss, and fort. But the information in the visitor is not very accurate. I figured this would be in honor of the black troops massacred at this battle, but it really plays itself off as a great confederate victory for Nathan Bedford Forrest. It made me uncomfortable.

Nature Adventure
This place is full of history and beautiful nature sites. I had a great time walking the trails, so if you like to do that wear comfortable shoes, because there are plenty of them. They have a great picnic and play area for the kids too. I loved the museum and could have stayed in there longer, but the kids get antsy! There was a nice young man named, Jason that took care of us watching the film they provided, and with items in the gift shop. We will make another trip back!
