Awesome State Park
This park has so many things to do. It's one of the few TN state parks that has kept its swimming pool after covid shut downs. We enjoyed swimming there and at the base of Cane Creek Cascades. The nature center was very interesting and the visitor center had many souvenir items to choose from. Our 8 year old enjoyed 2 really nice playgrounds and we all enjoyed a picnic at the Falls overlook. We had dinner at the lodge restaurant that was superb. We had a great view of the lake and a beautiful sunset from our table. Although we arrived by 10am, we ran out of time to try a hike or do some fishing. Guess we'll just have to go back. As we drove out of the park at dusk, we came upon 3 deer playing in the road, oblivious to traffic or the need to move, so drive this park with caution for wildlife. One could easily spend a week here and not be bored.

Food options
We made plans to stay at the lodge at Fall Creek Falls, knowing that we would have continental breakfast and dinner only in the lodge Mon-Fri. We assumed from our research that we would need to either plan on taking lunch items with us for our stay or drive a fair distance for options outside the park. We were very happy to discover the Snackbar Grill in the park! We both had the burger combo with fries/tater tots and drink for $9.99 each. Lunch was delicious! We will definitely go here again during our stay.

Wonderful
Some unexpected weather changed my plans for this trip, and due to snow on the golf course, I was unable to golf here. Aside from that uncontrollable downfall, this state park is unreal! It’s extremely spacious with tons of trails all over. The waterfall views were unreal, and the snow really made for a picturesque view. I did some mountain biking between a few hiking trails. It was wonderful. There is a massive lake that looks great for paddle boarding, but again it was freezing when I was there.
