When using Waze, you are directed straight to a neighborhood. Turn right into neighborhood. Park right at unmarked trail head labeled "Cascade Drive". Basically you join the path by either starting right where "Cascade Dr" says not to drive down, or go up by the main road and enter on sidewalk.. We parked on grass by woods, and walked down to an amazing stream with perfect weather. Watch out for chiggers/ and or mosquitoes- I had 3 bites from playing in the creek for less than 20 minutes. This trail is soo undisturbed that I watched two squirrels stroll right across the path. Many houses line either side of the creek, and a few people passed us on the trail.

Nice wall away from traffic
I was looking for a place to go for a walk in Oak Ridge that wasn't along the side of a road. I found the Emory Valley Greenway which leave from the Melton Valley Greenway near the park of the same name. The trail winds along the shore of an inlet of the lake through a forest. The trail is paved but goes up and down quite a few small hills. The trail is less than a mile long but it is so much nicer than walking next to the noise (and danger) of trails along roads.

My absolute favorite place for a run!
Whenever I'm in town I make sure to go to the Emory valley greenway for a nice run or walk. The shade in the wooded portion keeps it nice and cool while out by the marina area you get a nice breeze from the water. The path is very clearly marked and maintained!
