East Fork Stables

This is a Horse Camp accommodating folks traveling with their horses and it is an Incredible place for a riding destination. The entire facility is clean, neat, well organized, and the staff is fantastic. You can ride trails from easy to extremely technical, long or short and they are very well marked. They have a trail app as well as paper trails maps all listing length and approximate ride time. The views from the many vistas found on the trails are spectacular. We were there in August and the days got very hot in the afternoon so we rode out early and just as the temps were rising we were back at camp after a four or five hour ride. In the evenings we enjoyed a nice easy hour or so ride before calling it a night. If you like to travel with your horses in your LQ we would highly recommend you give these folks a serious look..

    Try the Cabarns!
East Fork Stables is an incredible venue and value for folks who love horses and trail riding. My wife Amy and I spent a week in one of the "Cabarns", half cabin/half barn, in July of 2015. We couldn't have been more pleased. The cabins have one bedroom, a living area with couch/recliner and TV, a kitchen/dining area, and of course a bathroom. Everything you need is provided: dishes, pots and pans, bed linens, towels, towels, towels. and paper goods. The cabin is delightful, about 440 sq feet., and the two stall barn is attached to the cabin. Your horses are literally right outside your door. You can see them through the cabin windows and hear them whinny and sigh at night while laying in your comfortable queen size bed. There is a picnic table and charcoal grill for each cabarn, and brooms, hoses, rakes, and wheel barrows are also provided. Just bring your horses! Hay and shavings are available from the main office at East Fork Stables and are delivered right to your door. The trails lead out in a couple of directions right from your cabarn. There are over 100 miles of trails within the confines of East Fork. The trails, though mostly moderate, range from easy to difficult to extreme. There is something for every level of rider. The overlook views are incredible and the variety of terrain keeps the riding interesting for hours. You can take a one hour trail ride or an 8 hour, all day excursion. It's up to you! The main facility has massive barns and campsites for living quarter trailers and/or tents, but we enjoyed the privacy and the convenience of the Cabarns. And the price was right! We cannot wait to return this fall during the cool season and ride the East Fork trails again! By the way, the staff at East Fork Stables are incredibly helpful and friendly and aim to please.

Nice camp and riding with your own horse
Went to an event at Eastfork which was nicely put together. This particular one involved breakfast which is normally not available. Great that there are bath houses available. Since the event was not all all day event, we did horse back riding on our own horses. A map is provided to all those who check in, but the trails are not always marked as well as I would like - nor is there a listing of which trails are a bit more trecherous then others. It is a bit more expensive, but the campgrounds are privately owned and the trails are pretty well maintained. I believe there are 100+ miles of trails at this particular spot. There are some spots that are primitive camping and others that have electric. A mar on this particular experience were some individuals who were throwing their trash into the horse stalls as they watched the events. I would so go back though. This is a dry town in case you are wanting to consume adult beverages.
