Worth the stop to take in a taste of Nashville!!
It had been many years since we were last in Nashville but couldn't help stopping as we were passing through the area on our way to Memphis. Park the car and walk around. A bit of a challenge since there is no on-street parking and all or most of the parking lots require a phone app. We paid for two hours and hit the pavement, walking through the Nashville Music Garden and Walk of Fame Park, enjoying the design of the Music City Center, and walking along Broadway for 5 blocks on both sides of the street, checking out the live music (even at the early hour of 10am!) and the neon bar and restaurant signs. Entertaining for sure! This was an impromptu stop so we missed walking by Ryman Auditorium and probably a few other noteworthy sites.

Glad we came All the way from Memphis….
We enjoyed downtown Nashville, and we’re in our sixties! Yes it was heaving, hot and loud, but in a totally different way to Bourbon or Beale Streets in NO or run-down Memphis. Here, the beautiful people strut around in cowboy boots and stetsons, and deal in music and laughter rather than tack and weed. We weren’t bothered once by anyone for money, and everyone seemed to be there for one reason - to enjoy themselves and ensure that everyone else had a good time too. We are here at the time of the CMA awards, so there were several places off limits to riff raff like us (eg the Riverside…) but nonetheless those places we could get to, we really liked.
