    Congressman David Crockett
We came upon David Crockett State Park while traveling through TN with a short stay at Natchez Trace RV Campground. It is a beautiful state park with a very pretty campground. We learned a whole lot about "Davey" Crockett that we never knew and thoroughly enjoyed the park's museum. It's a very lush and pretty state park. We liked also that the park had a nature center with some rescued and rehabilitated birds there that were sadly unable to be released again, but the state park is housing and taking care of them. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by. P.S. We learned he was a Congressman at one time and that "Davey" Crockett never went by Davey; thus the name David Crockett State Park.

Hidden Gem in the Middle of Town
We enjoyed all parts of this state park. Its well kept and there's lots to do. Crockett Falls is beautiful even though it's not very high. It's a great place to get your feet wet and probably do a little swimming in summer. We were there in the fall and it was really pretty. There are plenty of places to hike. The swimming pool is huge. We also enjoyed reading about the life of David Crockett at the museum. The lake is pretty, but not very big. I wish we could've tried the restaurant. Looks pretty from the outside and I've heard it's quite good. We'll try to go back in the summer to take advantage of more activities.
