Cellar 53 Winery is a small farm winery that sits among vineyards and tucked into the Cumberland Plateau - only 45 minutes east of Nashville and close to I40. A full range of handcrafted wines are available for tastings. From sweet to dry, we have a wine for every taste and every type of wine lover. Awesome way to spend a afternoon
I had a friend take me over here for a visit. Family owned and operated.This is such a laid back and casual place,the way it should be. If you are lucky you will get to meet Sugar the family dog out front. They have a great selection of wines from their vineyards.Wine tastings are available so you can pick out the prefect wine for your needs. The selection of wine depends on the time of year. Everything is very reasonably priced. Since it's family owned it's very laid back atmosphere. It is back off the main road. The owners said they were in the process of putting larger signs so it would be easier to locate. Still it's well worth the trip

Small, family owned winery
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a great afternoon tasting wines and enjoying the back patio. Oakley the golden retriever was great entertainment. The only complaint I have is that we chose 2 wines from their tasting menu which listed the bottle price as $16.95, but upon checkout were told that they only have the reserve of that wine in stock (at double the price). I like to support small businesses, but they need to make sure their prices are accurately reflected on their menu.
