Caney Fork Outdoors, Tennessee, United States

4.5 (11 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Silver Point Boat Rentals

Long Weekend.

We take 4-5 long weekends (Fri - Mon) camping at C OF L State Park and use C.F. O. one of the days as our outfitter of choice for a canoe float on the Caney. They are a family run business that are top notch in their field with exceptional customer service. Don't be fooled by the other outfitters in the area as C.F.O are the best.

    Amazing float!
What an amazing nine mile float! The service was top notch and super nice. We put in below the dam and floated to Bettys Island. Our kayaks were so cool and like new. Fly fisherman were everywhere. I saw a lot of trout. Scenery is just beautiful. We saw deer, mink, otter, eagles, and lots of fish. The water was so cold, esp at eight in the morning! We appreciate the owners so much for their time and taking such care of us! See you soon!

3 to 4 hours of total bliss! Off the grip and happily so!
You gently place your canoe in the water. Not to push but to steer. If you let it, the current will serenely guide you to where you need to be. We pity the fools who race down the river. They are missing the point. Stop, relax, and enjoy the peace and tranquility that the Caney offers you. This was our first time canoe rental with this company. We have been down the Caney every year for the past five and have always used another company. We found a special online and decided to give them a try. Boy, are we glad we did. Why? Within a few minutes of checking in, we were on the water. We didn't have to sit on a bus for 20 minutes as we drove to the launch site. Seats were already a part of the canoe. And they were nice seats. We didn't have to pay extra for a flimsy piece of plastic. We were told we could arrive at any time at the take-out point (as long as it was by 6pm). In the past, with the other company, we were given to a time to be at the finish so we always felt a bit rushed and never felt like we could totally relax. Knowing that we could literally take as much time as we wanted, we actually pulled on the shore to have a leisurely lunch. Then, at the take off point, they were there waiting for us. There was no a) wait an hour or so for the bus to pick you up or b) the bus would be there but you have to wait until a few more canoes arrive. And of course, that is followed by a 20 minute ride back to their facility. NO MORE! We were met at the shore and immediately driven back to our car. From now on, we will be renting from Caney Fork Outdoors. Janice and her team were very friendly and professional. From the time we called to make the reservation to our departure, we were well taken care of.
