An unexpected surprise
Briarwood Ranch is an Auto Safari Park offering a scenic, four-mile safari through beautiful hills and pasture lands where you will experience animals from six continents. You can take your time studying their behavior from the safety of your own car and take lots of photographs. The park also offers tractor pulled wagon rides, a store, restrooms, a picnic area, and a petting zoo. With all this, you have a great location for a birthday party or family reunion. Our wagon rides are by appointment only.

An unexpected surprise
Today my family and I made the one hour ride out to Briarwood Ranch Safari from our cabin in Gatlinburg. Having been to the Safari at Great Adventure (in New Jersey) I wasn’t sure what to expect. When we arrived we found a family operation with lots to offer. The facility was clean and their were many animals to experience. I think my family’s favorite was the giant elk still in the velvet phase but I’m gonna side with the Great White Buffalo (thank you Hot Tube Time Machine). Anyway we were able to drive through the 4+ mile route as many times as we desired which we did twice since we had four buckets of food. Now I was positive our 2 year old was gonna love it but what surprised me most was that the Safari was so good that our 16 y/o and 13 y/o both disconnected from their phones for two whole trips. If you have teens you know that rarely happens. Definitely would recommend this to anyone of any age. I’m also pretty sure we will be back next year.

Great fun!
We did this with 6 kids of all different ages and adults as well. It’s a neat experience. The kids loved it! I did think it’s a little pricey. I paid $85 for 2 adults and a child, thankfully my other child was under 2 or it would have been $100. They did give us food free for the animals since our party was so large and that was very kind. The ride was beautiful and the animals were fun to feed.
