Stunning views, fabulous acoustics

Sibelius Hall is located by the beautiful Lake Vesijarvi. Sibelius Hall is a congress- and concert center that offers diverse services for both consumers and companies. Sibelius Hall was built in 2000 adjacent to an old factory building. The modern wooden architecture is combined with the old industrial history in the most interesting way.

Great acoustics, Mecca for Sibelius fans
Best acoustics I've ever heard in a wooden, eco-friendly building that still has presence and grandeur. Sibelius Festival totally unique experience. And fabulous views over the Lake. Inspired work by Tuomas Kinberg and others to get the Hall built.

One of the top Concert Halls in the World.
Ever year since 2001 I have flown from the UK to Finland especially to attend the annual Sibelius Festival at Lahti in the wondrous Sibeliustalo. As you walk in you are met by the aroma of wood, then into the Forest Hall where in the ceiling are stars (lights of course) so positioned as they were in the universe the day Jean Sibelius was born. The auditoreum, with reverberation chambers, is perfection itself with absolutely perfect acoustics. I now have every recording issued by BIS that has been made in this hall with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra and Osmo Vanska, a world beating ensemble. To look out of the Forest Hall in the interval and see the sun going down is sheer magic. I cannot wait for this coming September (2009) to arrive to experience paradise itself. John J.
