Sound of Music
Lahti City Theatre is one of the biggest theatres in Finland. It is a concrete building completed in 1983. The building includes three auditoriums. The main auditorium sits 770 spectators. On our visit, there was a musical Sound of Music going. It was an excellent presentation. Although we were sitting in the last row, we had a good view. The intermission service worked well and the products were tasty.

Delightful surprise
Do not let the concrete architecture from the 60's fool you. Inside the building is functional and pleasant. Check what's on, and pay a visit. We went to see a musical Love Me Tender on Juhani stage, and were very pleasantly surprised of the all-round quality of the performance. Better than many I've seen in Helsinki - or even in London or New York. Enjoyed the live music, stageing, brilliant coreography, original ideas of the director, and the positive energy of all the actors.
