Beautiful old stone church
Located in Hollola, ca 100km from Helsinki, this church was built at end of 15th century and completed 1510. During 19th century external bell tower has been added, beautiful itself separately, however too different to be beautiful together. Church burned 1642 and after that later generations have left their marks, I let you to decide, if you call destroying or development. For example current windows are bigger than original had.

Must see medieval church
Built in the early 1500's and restored since then, this is the third larges medieval church in Finland. This is about a 90 minute drive northeast of Helsinki...an easy day trip. It holds a cemetery who's names reflect generations of Finnish families. The simple yet gorgeous interior still has ancient carvings displayed on the wall. It's a working church that held seven Christmas Eve services to accommodate all the visitors. There are tour guides available in English for small fee and also a guide but she only spoke Finnish.
