Great experience

Great sailing experience on a beautifully restored Danish fishing boat. Good for kids, families, couples, singles - young and old. The kids helped hoist the sails plus us adults also got a chance as well. Lovely hosts who own the boat, restored her, sail from Denmark to Australia, make a very nice cup of tea and explain the boat, the restoration, their sailing experiences, the local geography and history. Very economical price for a wonderful experience. Can do a short couple of hours sail, hire her for a day with food provided, overnight or a couple of days with crew and food.

Calm water cruise- a great experience
David and Ea took us on the cruise even though we were the only ones going on the tour. Extremely personable hosts who made us very welcome. Their story of the Yukon is worth listening to. The soup and bread rolls ( all homemade) were great. We made the trip from Grindelwald to Franklin just for this cruise and we weren' t disappointed. There are other cruises on the Yukon and we will be seriously thinking of going again in the future.

    historic ketch 'Yukon'
We were just driving past and stopped to look at the historic ketch 'Yukon', moored at the Franklin wharf. It was preparing to depart on a 90 minute cruise/sail. A nice morning so we boarded. A very friendly and knowledgeable owner/skipper assisted by a one women crew. We powered down the river, turned and hoisted some sail for the return. Passengers can help, take photos or just sit and enjoy the ambience of a historic vessel on a very scenic waterway. Welcome to check out the below deck quarters. Plus, complimentary coffee/tea and home made cookies. Maybe a two hour duration cruise would have added more value?
