    Must see!
Booked with Port Arthur Historic site a family of 4 two adults two children, 10.30am introductory tour and the harbour cruise and 3pm isle of the dead tour. We were greeted with a very enthusiastic tour guide Jet. Jet took us through the grounds in the eyes of one of the convicts Denis Donohugh, WoW! What an absolute fantastic way to have an invite into the history of Port Arthur and see it through the eyes of Denis. Jet was amazing and should be commened for his story telling, and history knowledge. We had just enough time to see everything and had a quick stop to have some lunch from the Cafe before we headed to the isle of the dead, another amazing place, the tour there was quick 30mins but enough to see the island and hear about the history of a number of the people buried there. Would definitely recommend Port Arthur as a must see! Thank you

    Highly Recommend
This exceeded our expectations - the site is so large! We thought we would have been in and out within the hour, however we ended up walking around for nearly 3 hours (something to be considered if you have younger children or have difficult getting around). A free tour and boat trip is included in the ticket price, however we decided to skip this and stroll around at our leisure. The gardens and buildings are very well maintained and tidy, the walking tracks and access to some buildings can be uneven - again something to consider if you have difficulty. I like the interactive cards that you have to find along the way also. All in all, a very informative pleasant morning learning about our countries history. Recommend for adults and teens, however younger children would get bored pretty quickly.
