Lovely area
We did the walk to Canoe Bay and back… decent undulating track, took us about 45 mins return. Lots of people about for a Monday (during school holidays) and the camping area looked pretty full. We paid for the daily park pass and then couldn’t find a park and had to pull over to the side of the dirt road with a bunch of other cars haphazardly parked. Not much that can be done about this I suppose, and it would be a shame to knock down more trees for more parking, but just something to keep in mind. Don’t forget your sunscreen, even if you’re just going out for an hour or two.

Gorgeous beach, splendid facilities
We just took the road to see what we could see. The unsealed road was one of the best we've driven - could be tricky when wet. The facilities are now superb. A great picnicking area; superb camping and toilet facilities. We were welcomed to the parking area by a cheeky robin - beautiful. The beach and waters were simply beautiful; squeaky sand! We didn't have time or energy to tackle anything more than a walk and photography around the bay beach.

Walk to Bivouac Bay
This walk was quite scenic until Canoe Bay with views towards Cape Hauy and beyond, even a wreck, but not so much towards Bivouac Bay. Took us about 5 hours return, take plenty of water...there are a few hills. Walk to Canoe Bay was about 2 hours.
