Late afternoon walk
The park is very well maintained from parking, pavilions, paths, tables and grounds. There is a walking path from pavilion one to the back end of park. Through trees and on a Boardwalk along lake. The are out cropings from path with tables to sit right by waters edge. Very peaceful walk with nice scenery. Great place to picnic also has a launch point for boats. I was able to spot four alligators in the lake on my visit. There is swings for kids and ample trash cans around to keep park clean. Not a long walking path maybe 1/2 mile at most so hiking is not happening here. This is a relax, see view, go for a stroll hang out and have picnic place. Does all that very well.

Boating spot
Large park with big trees, shaded pick nic areas and rest rooms. There is a huge boat ramp with lots of parking and for $6 you can launch and have a great day on the water fishing or cruising. There are alligators so I would not want to swim there but we saw people doing that.

Hidden Gem in Tarpon! Peaceful, tranquil park, great for nature lovers and boaters
Anderson Park is a hidden gem right off of US 19 in Tarpon Springs. I visited because I just purchased an inflatable kayak, and wanted to try it out here before I used it at the beach. The park is tucked back off of the highway, and is so peaceful. Nearly all of the park area is a nature preserve. Ample walking paths/nature trails. Numerous covered areas with grills for BBQs and picnics. A large playground for children, and a clean, enclosed dog park area. A nice boat launch at Lake Tarpon with ample parking for boat trailers. I kayaked around Lake Tarpon and saw all sorts of hawks, eagles, and other waterfowl in the trees and soaring around the lake. If you're looking for a clean, peaceful place to sit by the lake and relax, bike, or go boating on Lake Tarpon, this is it!
