We walked here through the beautiful forest. At 2 euros to enter it was a bargain. For those who don't fancy climbing the winding stairs, you can take the lift to the penultimate floor. You can look through the windows and marvel at the view but if you want to go on to the roof you have to climb a steep staircase. It is steep as my husband descended backwards! It is well worth it the views are stunning. You can see over Tampere, see both lakes and see if you can spot the Finlayson. We walked back along the lake shore, stopping to watch the red squirrels. Then sitting to take full advantage of the tranquillity, watching the colours of the lake change and breathing in the scent of the pine trees. Well worth a visit.See more..

This park is located next to the Tampere Hall, five minutes walk from the railway station. In the middle of the park is a big pond with a fountain. You can find ducks swimming here. There are also many other species of birds living in the cages by the pond.See more..
