The Susitna Salmon Center is a unique gift shop and art gallery dedicated to rivers and salmon. We have aquaria with local fish and documentaries. We provided biologist-guided river walks and have rental cabins.

Well worth a visit
This little gem is in a back street but still easy to find. It has the most amazing mosiacs outside and beautiful glassware inside. It is an educational centre with a continuous movie on the life of Salmon that is as amazing as it is moving. Staff are friendly and informative and up for a chat. Do not miss it.

Actually "Made in Alaska"
Bought our souveniers here as most thing were made locally and not in China. This was the only shop I liked in Talkeetna. The lady at the counter was friendly, telling us some local information about the town. Plus, your money goes to a good cause.
