Bank and Dinosaur History In One
This museum was located in the Old Land Bank Building. The same ticket from the National Taiwan Museum was scanned here. Inside the central part of the museum was dedicated to dinosaurs and many other prehistoric animals. It was well organized and popular with the families. Upstairs were exhibits about the Land Bank and it’s evolution after the original Japanese bank assets were acquired. I enjoyed the old bank vault and going inside to see how it was organized for storage of papers and valuables. This was located to the left right after scanning my ticket.

graet skeletons of Marine Reptiles
Located in an old bank and just across the road from the main Museum site is this delightful paleontology exhibition. There is also a museum of artifacts from the bank that was here formerly. Currently there is an exhibition of Marine Reptiles - some skeletons and some reconstructions. Much is documented in English and it is easy to learn something new. There are ramps to make walking easier. The cafe seems closed for Covid. Prices were cheap and they insisted I go in for free as a Senior.

Japanese bank becomes natural history museum
The Japanese colonial era (1845-1945) was a time for constructing grand buildings, such as the Kangyo Bank, see here. The office later became the Land Bank of Taiwan. Later, the Exhibition Hall later became the National Taiwan Museum, dedicated to Natural History. There are enough exhibits to keep the kids occupited for a couple of hours. By the way, there is a modest entry fee.
